Chocolate cream does fit the bill, but I had a really hard time coming up with a name for this recipe . It is a fine chocolate cream that tastes especially delicious on ice cream, pancakes or puddings. You could also snack on them just like that, or spread them on a loaf of bread. I personally tested them with pancakes and puddings and found them sensationally delicious. It remains creamy in the refrigerator and can be used immediately. Sounds like a dream? It is.

Homemade chocolate cream requires only a handful of ingredients. Cocoa, cocoa butter, water, maple syrup and bourbon vanilla. This is all put together in a small pot and brought to a boil. After that it may still Simmer for 5 minutes and that’s it with the preparation. The result is a fine cream that can be used while still hot. Alternatively, it can be super stored in the refrigerator and used as needed.
TIP: I sweeten the cream very little, if it’s too bitter for you, just use a little more maple syrup or another sweetener of your choice.
Vegan dessert cream easy to prepare
There’s not much to consider with this recipe and really nothing can go wrong. If you like, you can add more spices and make the cream a little more Christmasy with cinnamon, cardamom and ginger, for example.

- 125 ml Water
- 45 ml maple syrup or other sweetener of choice
- 25 g Cocoa powder heaped, please make sure the cocoa powder is of good quality, otherwise it can quickly become bitter
- 25 g Cocoa butter from the piece or as drops
- ¼ tbspn Bourbon vanilla
- ½ tbspn Cinnamon optional
- Pinch of salt
Anleitung
- Provide a small pot. Pour in water, maple syrup, cocoa powder, cocoa butter, bourbon vanilla and salt and bring to a boil while stirring.125 ml Water, 45 ml maple syrup, 25 g Cocoa powder, 25 g Cocoa butter, ¼ tbspn Bourbon vanilla, ½ tbspn Cinnamon, Pinch of salt
- Simmer for 5 minutes until the liquid thickens and becomes creamy.
- Use immediately and or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Perfect with ice cream, puddings, cakes, pancakes and refinement of vegetable milk.
