Hummus pasta with gochujang sauce is really something fine. In the last blog post we made a great Gochujang Sauce and today we have a recipe using it. I can say it right at the beginning that this recipe is simple and delicious. It consists of only a few ingredients and is stirred together in no time. Add a little vegan parmesan, a hand of fresh herbs and the easy dish is ready. If it has to go fast once, I can absolutely recommend this recipe . I wish you already a lot of fun while enjoying!
Hummus pasta with gochujang sauce
Today’s recipe is made in two easy steps. The first step is to cook the pasta and very important, be sure to save a small amount of the cooking water. The cooking water of the pasta contains salt and starch and this helps super in binding the sauce.
The second step is to make the sauce from hummus and gochujang sauce. I almost always make my own hummus using this recipe and the gochujang sauce anyway. Often, convenience foods have things added to them that we don’t really want in our food. I’m thinking of natural flavors (sounds good but usually there are undesirable additives hidden in it). Sauté the onion and garlic, stir in the gochujang sauce, deglaze with pasta water and add the hummus. Mix everything together to make a delicious sauce and mix with the pasta. Ready!
Regarding the choice of pasta, it’s entirely up to you. I use conchiglie, but you can also use very classic penne or even rigatoni. Gluten-free pasta works just as well, of course, or gnocchi.
TIP: It’s really worth making the Gochujang sauce yourself using this recipe. In many products you can find flavor enhancers and vast amounts of sugar.

Vegane Hummus Pasta mit Gochujang Sauce
- 15 ml Olivenöl
- 120 g gelbe Zwiebel
- 2 Stück Knoblauchzehen frisch oder 1 TL Knoblauchgranulat
- 3 EL Gochujang Sauce (zum Rezept)
- Pasta Wasser nach Bedarf circa 2-3 Schöpfer
- 250 g Hummus (zum Rezept)
- Salz und Pfeffer nach Belieben
- 250 g Pasta nach Wahl ich verwende Conchiglie
ZUM SERVIEREN:
- Veganen Parmesan
- Frische Petersilie
Anleitung
- Pasta nach Wahl (nach Verpackungsanleitung) kochen und beiseitestellen. WICHTIG!!! 2-3 Schöpfer Pastawasser aufheben.250 g Pasta nach Wahl
- FÜR DIE SAUCE eine Pfanne bereitstellen und das Olivenöl heiß werden lassen.15 ml Olivenöl
- Zwiebel und Knoblauch hineingeben und glasig dünsten.120 g gelbe Zwiebel, 2 Stück Knoblauchzehen frisch
- Gochujang Sauce dazugeben und unterrühren und das Pastawasser aus Schritt 1) dazugeben. Ansonsten einfach heißes Wasser verwenden.3 EL Gochujang Sauce, Pasta Wasser nach Bedarf
- Hummus unterrühren, Salz und Pfeffer nach belieben, Pasta dazugeben, auf Teller aufteilen, mit Parmesan und frischer Petersilie garnieren und genießen!250 g Hummus, Veganen Parmesan, Frische Petersilie, Salz und Pfeffer nach Belieben
- Am besten frisch.
